Coffee has established itself as a staple of modern life. The ways people enjoy it are varied, ranging from instant mixes and cafés to hand-drip brewing. I always have coffee by my side.
Brewing coffee at home has become a quiet habit of mine. In this project, I capture this daily routine from a top-down perspective.

For this project, I stepped away from the 3D workspace to photograph physical objects with an actual camera.
Process footage
Unlike 3D software, where settings can be endlessly adjusted, I was confronted with the physical limitations of real world photography.
However, the technical knowledge gained from handling the camera has now become a tool I apply when constructing scenes in the 3D environment.
Over Brew
개요커피는 이제 현대인의 삶에서 떼어놓을 수 없는 일부분으로 자리 잡았습니다. 인스턴트 커피나 카페, 혹은 핸드드립에 이르기까지 사람들이 커피를 즐기는 방식은 저마다 다양합니다. 저 역시 늘 커피를 곁에 두고 지냅니다. 때문에 집에서 직접 커피를 내리는 일은 어느덧 저의 조용한 습관이 되었습니다. 이번 프로젝트에서는 이러한 일상의 루틴을 '탑다운(Top-down)' 시점으로 담아냈습니다.

과정Process footage특히 이번 작업을 위해 잠시 3D 가상 공간을 벗어나, 실제 카메라를 들고 사물들을 직접 촬영하는 시도를 했습니다. Process footage설정을 무한히 수정할 수 있는 3D 소프트웨어와 달리, 실제 촬영에서는 현실 세계의 물리적인 제약들과 마주해야 했습니다. 하지만 카메라를 직접 다루며 체득한 기술적 지식들은 이제 3D 환경에서 장면을 구축할 때 활용하는 저만의 중요한 도구가 되었습니다.
